The Structure of the Club

Types of Club Membership

There are various types of membership some of which entail paying a subscription.

Ordinary Membership

Police Officers and Police Staff who are employees of the South Yorkshire Police can become Ordinary Members on application. In return for their weekly membership subscription deducted from their salary, Ordinary Members are able to enjoy the full range of facilities that the Club and area clubs provide.

If you are not presently a Member and wish to apply, download and complete the Membership Application Form then send it to Niagara for processing.

Life Membership

Ordinary Members who retire because of age, length of service or medical reasons automatically become Life Members. They can only participate in the activities and facilities provided at Niagara by the Force Club.

Associate Membership

Associate Members of the Club include:
1. Special Constables.

2. The spouse/partner of Ordinary and Life Members (except when the spouse is eligible to be an Ordinary Member) on application.

3. The parents, brothers/sisters and children, 18 and over, of Ordinary and Life Members (except when the individual concerned is eligible to be an Ordinary Member) on application and payment of an annual fee.

4. Fit and proper persons, nominated and seconded by Ordinary or Life Members, on application and payment of an annual fee.
